Undergraduate work at Lemoyne college Syracuse. Graduated from State University College of Optometry in New York City in 1979. Initially did research in sports vision and specialized in working with children with developmental vision issues. Practiced in the Metro NY Area for 10 years – Relocating to the North Country in 1989 Worked with John Kennedy at J Opticians for many years and at that time was the only optometrist in the North Country who worked with children with developmental vision problems while working at the local Walmart vision centers. Doctor Metzler is currently relocating to Perry Optical Vision Center II to work with Michelle Perry. Dr. Metzler has extensive experience working with hard to fit contact lens patients and is excellent with children and seniors.
